Installation

TestFirst Desktop App (Windows-only)

1. Download the latest TestFirst-x.x.x-x64.exe from testfirst.com → Apps → Desktop. support.testfirst.com

2. Double-click the file and follow the one-minute Setup Wizard.

3. Launch TestFirst, sign in, and you’re ready—future updates arrive via the in-app “Download Now” prompt.

TestFirst Test Runners

Local Runner (Windows & macOS)

1. In TestFirst Automate click Run Locally → Download to grab the installer.

2. Run the installer

3. Start the runner. The Run Locally button in TF Automate turns green, confirming it’s ready.

Self-Hosted Runner (Docker, any OS)

1. Install Docker on the host you’ll use.

2. In Automation → Test Runners click Register Runner and copy the token.

3. Run:

    

   docker run -d --restart always \ -e TF_RUNNER_TOKEN=<your-token> \ --name tf-runner testfirst/runner:latest

   The runner appears under On-Premise Runners in the app.

No installation needed

• TestFirst Web App — browser-based test management.

• TestFirst Automate — browser-based automation studio. Just sign in and start testing.
