When a new version of TestFirst is released, you will be notified of that in the application. A New Version Available dialog will be displayed.
The process of installing the updates is very similar to the process of the first installation. The only difference is that you will not have to specify the location in which you want the app to be installed. The update will automatically be installed in the same folder the application was originally installed in.
- In the New Version Available dialog, click the DOWNLOAD NOW button, or download the new version from here.

Open the file location and double click on the installation file you downloaded. The file name will be in the following format:
TestFirst-x.x.x-x64.exe
, wherex.x.x
stands for the current version of the application. A "Setup Wizard" window will open displaying a welcome message.Depending on your Windows settings, when you start the installation you might have to:
- Select the install mode (all users or current user only);
- Click Yes in the User Account Control consent prompt

Click Next on the welcome step. License Agreement step will be displayed.

Read the End-User License Agreement. If you do not agree to comply with the EULA, you must not proceed with the installation and must discontinue the use of the application immediately. If you agree to comply with it, select the I accept the agreement option and click Next. Select Additional Tasks step will be displayed.

Check or uncheck the Create a desktop shortcut checkbox according to your preference. Click Next. Ready to Install step will be displayed.

Review the setup details and click Install if you’re happy with them. The installation will start.

Wait for the installation to finish. Completing the TestFirst Setup Wizard will be displayed with a checked Launch TestFirst checkbox. Uncheck it if you do not want to immediately run TestFirst. Click Finish. The Setup Wizard window will close. If you left the Launch TestFirst checkbox checked, TestFirst will launch and the login window will be displayed.
