The user must have a Create/Edit permission for Test Project. See Roles and Permissions for more details. |
|
This article is applicable to both TestFirst Desktop App and TestFirst Web App. |
In order to create a test project:
- Open TestFirst and click on the Test Case Management menu item in the left side panel.
- If you are only starting your work with the application, there will be no projects and you will be prompted to create one. If there are existing projects, click the CREATE TEST PROJECT button. An Add Test Project dialog will appear.
- In the dialog enter the project name (required) and description (optional) and click on OK. The project will be saved and will appear in the test case library.
|
The project name must be unique across the organization. |
|
If you have configured a Jira integration, then you will also have to fill in the Project Key and Issue Type in the Add Test Project dialog. Project key is the key of the corresponding project in Jira, and issue type is the Jira issue type you want to be created in case of a test failure (can be anything like a Bug, a Defect, etc.).
Please make sure the project key and the issue type match the Jira ones exactly.
