Create a Test Section – TestFirst

The user must have a Create/Edit permission for Test Section. See Roles and Permissions for more details.

This article is applicable to both TestFirst Desktop App and TestFirst Web App.

You can create a test section by following the steps below:

Right click on the test suite under which you want to create a test section. A context menu will appear.
Click on Add Test Section option. Add Test Section dialog will appear.
In the dialog enter the name (required) and description (optional) and click on OK. The section will be saved and will appear in the test case library under the chosen test suite.

The section name must be unique across the test suite.

Test sections with the same name can exist under other test suites.
