Delete a Test Section – TestFirst

The user must have a Delete permission for Test Section. See Roles and Permissions for more details.

This article is applicable to both TestFirst Desktop App and TestFirst Web App.

You can delete a test section by following the steps below:

Right-click on the section you want to delete. A context menu will appear.
Click on Delete option. A confirmation dialog will appear.
Click YES if you indeed want to delete the section. Click NO if you changed your mind.

Restoring deleted items is not supported. If you delete a section, it is gone for good.

Deletion of a node also deletes all of its child nodes. If you delete a section, all of its child nodes (subsections, test cases) will also be deleted.

Deleting a node does not impact any previously created test plans that include the node. Any tests and results will remain unchanged.
