This article is applicable to both TestFirst Desktop App and TestFirst Web App. |
You can edit a test case by following the steps below:
- Right-click on the test case you want to edit. Click on Edit menu item. Edit Test Case tab will appear.
- Edit everything you need to. You can read more about the fields in the Field Reference article.
- Click on SAVE to save the changes, or on CANCEL to discard them.
|
Currently, custom fields are not supported in the web app. If you have any mandatory custom fields with no suggested value, you will not be able to save test cases in the web app. Please consider one of the below options:
- use the TestFirst desktop app to edit a test case,
- set up a suggested value for the field, or
- make the field not mandatory.

If you need to work on multiple test cases at a time, or use one of them as a reference, you can do that by clicking and holding the respective tab and dragging it towards the arrows that appear on the screen. Hovering on the arrows while dragging the tab will give you a preview of the tab’s size and position. Pick any of them to dock the tab to the respective place. See the video below for reference. |
