The user must have a Manage permission for Export Templates. See Roles and Permissions for more details. |
In order to create an export template:
- Click on Export Templates in the left menu panel. Export Templates page will be displayed.
- Click on the ADD NEW TEMPLATE button. Create New Template window will be displayed.
- Fill in the necessary details:
- Title (required) - type in a suitable title;
- File extensions. In order to add a file extension:
- click the ADD button. An Add File Name Extension dialog will be opened.
- fill in the Title field with a suitable name for the file extension,
- fill in the Extension field with the extension you want the file to be exported as;
- check the Default? checkbox if you want this extension to be the default one for this template.
- Template - the template written using DotLiquid framework. You can write your own template as described here or use the code for the basic templates here;
- Preview - select a test case by clicking BROWSE button and preview the output in the Preview textbox. The preview content gets update in real time as you make changes to the code of your template.
- Once you're satisfied with the output of your template, click SAVE. The template will be saved and will be displayed in the Export Templates page.
If you want to edit a saved export template, you can do it by clicking EDIT in the Action column in the template's row in the Export Templates page.
