The user must have Manage permission for Customizations. See Roles and Permissions for more details. |
In order to create a custom field:
- Click on the Customizations item in the left menu panel. Custom Fields page will be displayed.
- Click the ADD CUSTOM FIELD button. Add Custom Field dialog will be displayed.
- Fill in the necessary details. Refer to the table below for the description of the fields in the Add Custom Field dialog.
- Once you're satisfied with the custom field details, click SAVE. The custom field will be saved and will appear in the custom field list.

Name (required) | The name of the field that will be shown in the UI when creating or editing the custom field object. | ||||

A unique system name. The system name cannot have spaces and must be in lower case.

Default value (required for mandatory fields) |
The default value that will be displayed on all the test cases where the field value is not explicitly stated.

The value that is suggested when creating a new test case. One of:

Is Mandatory |
If checked, the field will be mandatory when creating a new test case. |

Is Active |
If checked, the field will be available in the UI. |
