Default Roles and Permissions

The default roles and permissions are the ones included in TestFirst by default. There are two types of these roles:

• System roles:
  • Owner - has all the permissions available in the system.
• Pre-created custom roles:
  • Admin - has full control of users and features except the organization.
  • Test Manager - has full access to TestFirst features except for users/roles.
  • Test Designer - can create/edit all test entities. Cannot delete anything.
  • Tester - can only execute tests, create test plans and reports.
  • Test Automation Engineer - can create/edit and run automated tests, use Anton.
