You can use filters to display the content matching specific criteria in the Test Case Library. You can set up a filter for any column. In order to do that:
- Click on the filter icon (funnel) in the header of the column you want to filter the content in. A list of filter options will be displayed.
- Select the criteria by which you want the column to be filtered. See below for more details on the options for each column.
- Click the FILTER button to apply the filter. Click x to close the list. The filter icon will be colored green when the filter is active.
In order to clear the filter from a column, click on the filter icon and click CLEAR.
Filter Option Types
In the table below you will find the criteria options available to filter by for every column.
In general, there are 3 filter option types depending on the field type:
- Individual value selection - you can check the values you want to view and uncheck the ones you don't
- Advanced options which include:
- Is equal to - filters the items for which the value is an exact match to the specified value
- Is not equal to - filters the items for which the value is not an exact match to the specified value
- Starts with - filters the items for which the value starts with the specified value
- Ends with - filters the items for which the value ends with the specified value
- Contains - filters the items for which the value contains the specified value
- Does not contain - filters the items for which the value does not contain the specified value
- Is contained in - filters the items for which the value matches one of the values in the specified list of values
- Is not contained in - filters the items for which the value does not match any of the values in the specified list of values
- Is empty - filters the items for which the value for the filtered column is empty
- Is not empty - filters the items for which the value is not-empty
- Is less than - filters the items for which the value is less than the specified value
- Is less than or equal to - filters the items for which the value is less than or equal to the specified value
- Is greater than - filters the items for which the value is greater than the specified value
- Is greater than or equal to - filters the items for which the value is greater than or equal to the specified value
- Is null - filters the items for which the value is not specified (normally for checkboxes)
- Is not null - filters the items for which the value is specified (normally for checkboxes)
