1. Introduction
The Issue Details Page helps you track, manage, and resolve issues efficiently. This guide will walk you through how to navigate the issue details page, understand key details, and stay updated with notifications.
2. Viewing Issue Details
To open the Issue Details Page, simply click on an Issue ID anywhere visible in any of the Issue Tracker (this can on Sprints page, Summary page etc.). The Issue Details page gives you a full overview of the issue, including its status, severity, and related discussions, so you can easily track progress and communicate effectively.
2.1 Key Fields and Their Descriptions
Each issue is linked to a Project, showing where it was reported. The Summary acts as the issue’s title, while the Description provides more details about the problem. The Issue Type tells you whether it’s a Bug, Feature, or Task.
The Status field keeps you informed about the issue’s progress, moving through stages like To Do, In Progress, Ready for Testing, In Testing, Done, or Cancelled. The Severity level (High, Medium, or Low) helps prioritize urgent issues. The Assignee is responsible for resolving the issue, while the Reporter is the one who created it and gets updates via email notifications.
Issues may be part of a Sprint, defining their development cycle. The Expected Result describes what should happen, while the Actual Result records what actually happened. If needed, you can attach a Screen Recording to visually demonstrate the problem. Some issues are linked to an Associated Test Case, which helps with validation and debugging. The Release Version indicates which version of the product the fix will be included in.
The Environment field highlights the system or server where the issue occurred. The Resolution explains how the issue is being addressed. The Followers section shows who is monitoring updates, while Attachments provide any additional files needed to resolve the issue. If discussions are needed, the Comment Section allows you to collaborate efficiently. In the comment section, you can write a comment and attach images or files.
2.2 Tracking and Updating an Issue
To keep up with an issue’s progress, check the Status field. Comparing the Expected Result with the Actual Result can help diagnose and fix bugs. Discussions take place in the Comment Section, where you can share insights or updates. If additional files are needed, they can be uploaded in the Attachments Section to provide more context.
2.3 Returning to the Issue Table
When you’re done reviewing an issue, simply click the Close (X) icon at the top right corner of the screen to return to the main Issue Table.
